E-waste is electronic products like computers, televisions, mobiles, or laptops that are unwanted, defunct or nearing or at the end of their useful life.

E-waste is particularly dangerous due to toxic chemicals that naturally seep out from the metals inside when buried. The ongoing challenge is how best to dispose of used and unwanted electronics.

The E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 extend the responsibility to producers to manage a system of e-waste collection, storage, transportation, and environmentally sound dismantling and recycling. The rules also encourage the establishment of an efficient e-waste collection mechanism.

At Vastum, we collect e-waste from the consumers, store it and then we transfer it to authorized e-waste dismantlers and recyclers.
